NatureRes is a collective of individuals who have come together as an independent ecological research and restoration practice. Our aim is to help create more biodiverse, sustainable, resilient and nature-rich landscapes.
We design and implement restoration & regeneration strategies, working in partnership with research institutions, conservation organisations, NGOs, land managers, communities and businesses.
We bring people, knowledge and ideas together to better understand the living world and turn that understanding into practical action.
We value the knowledge and experience that different partners bring and work collaboratively to develop approaches that are grounded in both evidence and place.
We have particular expertise in understanding how agricultural landscapes can support biodiversity while maintaining productive and resilient farming systems.
We connect ecological processes with practical land-use decisions, helping partners understand not simply what benefits biodiversity, but what works, where and why.
We work alongside partners to develop research that is scientifically robust, relevant to the questions people are asking, and that creates lasting value for nature and society.
Our approach is grounded in decades of research and practical restoration experience, from the restoration of former quarries and other disturbed landscapes to long-term monitoring of how grassland communities establish, develop and respond to management.
We work with partners to create opportunities for different perspectives to be shared, explored and combined, developing a richer understanding of ecological systems and grounded approaches to conservation and restoration.
We work at the intersection of ecology, regenerative design and creative practice, helping designers, organisations and communities explore how projects can move beyond reducing environmental harm towards actively contributing to ecological recovery.
We value the knowledge and experience that different partners bring,
and work collaboratively to develop approaches that are grounded in both evidence and place.
